Rudraksha Beads
Rudraksha beads Hold a very high importance when it comes to Hinduism & Buddhism, and especially when worshiping the almighty Lord Shiva. Rudraksha is a Sanskrit word consisting of 'Rudra' which is one of the Vedic names of Lord Shiva and 'Aksa' which means 'eyes'.
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva is believed to have spent 1,000 years doing meditation for a common benefit of all beings in the universe, and upon the completion
of his meditation and when opening his eyes, his teardrops rolled down from his eyes and dropped upon the earth which amazingly turned into the sacred Rudraksha tree.
So, the meaning of the word 'Rudraksha' means Lord Rudra's (Lord Shiva's) teardrops.
These Rudraksha beads are commonly worn for protection and worshipping Lord Shiva by his followers.
Spiritual and Holy mantras are chanted holding Rudraksha Malas and worn in the body as ancient Asian Yogis and monks
found out after experimenting that wearing Rudraksha beads Malas astonishingly gave them a tremendous amount of concentration, focus, and tranquility
which helped them to meditate for a longer period of time and better control over their mind.
